Who we are

Zonova Lens ("we", "us") is a photography studio based at 41/1, Mipilimana, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, operated by Zonova Pvt Ltd. This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://lens.zonova.lk, why we collect it, and what we do with it — including the photographs we take for you.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:

Booking form. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, and the details you write about your session. You must also tick a box confirming you accept this policy and our Terms & Conditions. The form cannot be submitted without it.
Direct contact. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you send, including your phone number or email address.
Session details. To plan a shoot we may hold the date, venue and the names of people to be photographed — for example the couple, family members or a newborn's parents.
Photographs. The images we take at your session, which are personal information about the people in them.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not buy, sell or rent personal information to anyone.

How your enquiry reaches us

When you submit the booking form, your message is sent to our own server and then delivered to our business WhatsApp account through a self-hosted WhatsApp gateway. In practice this means your enquiry is handled by:

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the request.
WhatsApp (Meta) carries the message to our business number, under their own privacy terms.

The website itself does not store your enquiry in a database. The message remains in our WhatsApp and email accounts, which are access-controlled.

Your consent

We rely on your consent, given by ticking the box on the booking form, to hold your enquiry and reply to it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing support@zonovasl.com, and we will delete the correspondence unless we are required to keep it.

Your photographs

The photographs from your session are yours to keep and share. We treat them as private by default:

We will not publish your photographs on this website, on social media, or anywhere else without asking you first. Saying no does not affect your booking or your price.
Delivery galleries and download links are shared only with you and anyone you ask us to include.
If you have given permission for us to show your photographs and later change your mind, email us and we will remove them from anything we control. Copies already shared, reposted or printed by others cannot always be recalled.
Photographs of children are only taken and only ever shown with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and plan your session.
To prepare a quote, booking confirmation or agreement you asked for.
To edit and deliver your photographs.
To keep our own archive of work we have done.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not send marketing emails, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of any session that follows. Edited photographs are kept in our archive so we can re-supply them if you lose your copies; original unedited files are kept for a shorter period. Records tied to a signed booking are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information, or your photographs, at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete your information or your photographs;
stop showing your photographs publicly; or
stop using your information for a particular purpose.

Email support@zonovasl.com and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Storage on your device

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site may store a small amount of data in your browser to make it work — for example remembering that you dismissed the chat prompt. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the credentials used to deliver your enquiry are held as encrypted secrets, never in our website code. Your photographs are kept on access-controlled storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you send us and what we shoot for you.

Children

We photograph children — at newborn, birthday and family sessions — only when a parent or guardian has booked the session and is present. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this website.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
